Terms, Conditions and Special Services
General Policies
- Delivery: Hammond Electronics Inc./EMSCO will deliver merchandise to you
via UPS, FOB shipping point. Freight charges are prepaid and added to the
total of your order. We will strive to meet all requests for special shipping
methods or alternate carriers. All orders for material that we have in stock
will be shipped the same day provided the order is placed before 3:00 P.M.
EST.
- Returns: Should you have any questions concerning your shipment, please
contact your local
Hammond branch office.
Call 1-800-929-2677 within 5 days of receipt of your material. Prior
authorization in the form of an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number
must be obtained to return any catalog item. Returned material may be subject
to a re-stocking charge. Orders for non-standard or specially ordered material
may be considered non-cancelable and non-returnable.

On-Line Order Form. A representative will
contact you via E-mail, phone or fax to supply accurate pricing and delivery
information.
- Open Accounts: A complete credit application is required for all new
accounts; qualified customers are approved on a net 30 day basis. New accounts
can be established in as little a 2 hours. The minimum order for open account
shipments is $25.00. Payments on account are accepted electronically, by
credit card, by check or by cash. Please complete our
credit application
and
fax it today to establish an open account.
- On-Line Order Entry: For your convenience you can place your orders
on-line. Complete and submit our
On-Line Order Form and you order will be
processed immediately. One of our sales representatives will promptly advise
you of delivery information via phone, fax or E-Mail.

Quotations
In addition to confirming published catalog prices, we welcome requests for
quotation on products in larger than normal quantities, products not found in
vendor catalogs or products requiring scheduled shipment. To request a quote
on-line complete and submit our Quote Form One of
our sales representatives will promptly advise you of pricing and delivery
information via phone, fax or E-Mail.
- COD Shipments: With customer authorization we can ship on a COD basis
within the continental United States. The minimum order for COD shipments is
$50.00. Company checks are accepted within specified limits for customers
rated in Dun & Bradstreet or customers supplying a bank reference.
- Cash In Advance: Orders for products that are considered non-cancelable
and non-returnable must be paid for at the time the order is placed unless
prior approval has been given or open account terms arranged. Non stock
products shipped COD will be considered non cancelable and non returnable.

Damaged Shipments
Merchandise is carefully packaged in compliance with carrier requirements.
Visible shipment loss or damage claims must be made with the carrier, by the
customer, at the time of delivery. The customer must note the problem on the
freight bill, or carrier's receipt, and have the carriers agent sign the
document. Concealed loss or damage claims must be made by the customer, to the
carrier by, requesting an inspection and filing a claim with the carrier.

Warranty
Since we do not control the use or application of the products we sell, there
are no express warranties extended beyond the descriptions contained herein. We
are not responsible for any consequential or indirect damages resulting from the
application and use of these products. Since we only distribute products
manufactured by others, we expressly limit our liability to any guarantees
extended by the manufacturer which are passed through to the customer.

- Just In Time Inventory management programs: We understand the special
requirements of our customers using just in time. We offer customized delivery
schedules, shipments in the quantities you require, when you need them and
consolidated deliveries from multiple vendors with the ease of working with a
single supplier.

asset. Let us manage your store room to insure you have the parts you need on
hand, when you need them and at the lowest possible cost of ownership.

- Complete EDI capabilities: Hammond/EMSCO has complete capabilities for
Electronic Data Interchange. (ANSI X.25 Standard)
- Electronic Fund Transfer*: Inventory is costly, paying for it can also add

- On Site Technical Seminars: Hammond/EMSCO sponsored technical seminars for
Engineers and Plant Maintenance personnel can be held in your facility to help
you overcome today's most challenging application and maintenance problems.
